What is HomeBASE Warranty

HomeBASE warranty is a one-year renewable service contract designed to protect your household budget. We help protect major parts of your home no matter their age.  We remove the time and hassle of having to find the right person for repairs. When your covered item breaks down, you just have to place a request for service. No deductibles or hidden fees.

Will you cover my systems and appliances that are aged?

Yes, the age of a home, its systems and appliances does not matter. We cover items that are in good working condition and properly maintained at the start of your contract.  Age will only become a factor if the manufacture no longer produces replacement components for the item and there are no substitutes available.

Who will you send out to my home to service my system or appliance?

We will send a local technician from our network of independent service providers who are prescreened for criminal, drugs, and driving habits.  All contractors are continuously monitored for ongoing performance.

How often can I request service?

There is no limit to the number of times you can request service during your contract. Many of our customers request service multiple times each year and save hundreds to thousands of dollars in repair.

What is covered under my HomeBASE Warranty?

Is there a waiting period before I can request service?

There is a 30-day waiting period before requesting service. Please see your contract for specific details.

Will a home warranty cover my system or appliance that is already broken?

In most situations we will not repair or replace an item that was broken prior to the start of the home warranty coverage. If at the time the coverage begins, the defect is not known or could not have been reasonably observed by looking at or operating the system or appliance, it may still qualify.

Will you replace my system or appliance if it cannot be repaired?

This is a yes and no answer.  If you have the optional replacement assistance umbrella coverage we will payout a predetermined value to help you with your purchase of a new unit.  Without the added replacement assistance umbrella we supply a dollar off coupon to a local retailer as an incentive but the customer is always free to purchase wherever.

I have homeowners insurance. Why do I need a home warranty?

Your homeowner’s insurance is hazard insurance. It generally covers items damaged in fires, flooding, wind, natural disasters, and theft. A home warranty repairs properly maintained systems that fail due to normal wear and tear.  There is also no deductibles with HomeBASE Warranty plans which is not the case with homeowners insurances

When does coverage being and when does it end?

Coverage starts 30 days after enrollment.  Pre existing conditions at the time of enrollments can be serviced by our professionals at a discounted rate.  Coverage will auto renew after the initial 12 month enrollment.  Coverage can be canceled at anytime by HomeBASE Warranty due to non or late payment

What is not covered?

Your home warranty contract covers only items listed as covered and excludes all other items. When you have a breakdown you may have additional expenses. You may have something that needs to be brought up to code to be in compliance, structural modifications, secondary damage, and cosmetic fixes are examples of items that may not be covered.
